I decided its time for me to upgrade my HDTV. The center of my home theatre setup. And have placed an order for the new Panasonic VT30.
It’s been 7 years since I purchased the Panasonic 60″ LC14 HDTV that is there now.
And everyone who hears I’m getting a new TV, asks ‘Why?’
Well, I’ll tell you why…
In our remodeling frenzy, we decided to start attacking the master bedroom.
We are throwing around a lot of ideas here, and have some big ideas for more major renovations but for now just want to take care of some of the essentials.
1. Repainting over that army / commando color scheme
2. New bedroom furniture
3. Putting up more modern curtains
Surprisingly, I don’t have a lot of pictures of our master bedroom before we started the painting phase.
But to give you an idea of what we were working with, here’s some shots of the bedroom from our viewing with the realtor…
We had a unfinished door in our living room that leads to the backyard.
It’s one of the first things you see as you walk in our living room, so we wanted to give it more of a statement and tie in with the rest of the black/white motif in the living area.
Here’s what we started with…
Installed an off-air antenna to get uncompressed video for locals just in case we hosted a Super Bowl Party this year.
I got a Terk Antenna that was well reviewed on Amazon, and didn’t look too huge and attention grabbing.
The installation was pretty easy, since we already had some coax going from the house to the DirecTV satellite, so I just used those coax and hooked into the Terk.
Mounted it up securely and aimed it with my iPhone compass, then we were good to go. One of the few tasks we took on that really was as simple as it seemed.
After our new Herman Miller chairs arrived (custom order from smartfurniture.com) and we got our message painting in place the office was finally complete.
Here’s some pics of the finished project…
